It is believed that 20% makes realtors while 80% makes commissions. The reality is that most men and women in the real estate industry are not making what you would imagine. The conclusion of this study may not be true as there are some random decisions that can be made. There are however others who are making a kill out of the game. Some end up not making it and resolve to return to their previous careers as the realtor business could have proved too hard for them.
Know Who Lives In Your Area
In one estate there is a lady who has taken up the name of the estate. She is a realtor and assuming the name of the estate means she knows it inside out. She is aware of what is selling in that estate. She is aware of the properties that are up for sale, their cost, reason for sale and where the seller is relocating to. She also gives an opinion of whether the property was sold at a loss or not. Know your neighborhood well. Know what is prime for sale and which is not. Know if there are areas that you think buyers do not want to invest in and why. Which areas have high demand for rentals? Now for you to be successful in this kind of business you should be efficient. This means do not undertake what you cannot achieve.
Communicate Relate With People
Real estate agents especially the sellers are not trust by most people. As a real estate agent what can you do? Communicate well with your prospectives. There may not be any questions from your sellers if you have briefed them on what you do instead they will appreciate your commitment and efforts.
Ensure You Are Available
Respond to calls and emails always. Be available when you can in as much as sometimes it is not easy to be available always. Stick to the times that you purpose to respond to calls or emails. Otherwise you will miss leads and people will not have faith in you.
Make Sales Through Leads
Realtors know that they eat from lead generation. Realtors have many avenues for lead generation. Letter drops, referrals, social media. When you make a sale do not forget to ask for a referral.
Keep contacts close to you even when youa re not benefiting from them. If a petrol seller tells your he has a fridge that needs to be fixed. Connect him to a fridge professional. The more you connect with people the more they will want to connect with you.
